Happy 13th Birthday Krista!

I made these mint chocolate cupcakes for a 13th birthday party 2 weeks ago.
They were chocolate cupcakes filled with creamy chocolate filling and topped with mint frosting (with an Andes mint of corse!)
Krysta wanted bright green, pink and yellow frosting to match her party colors... they were so fun to make!
(and even more fun to eat I'm sure!)

Happy 13th Birthday Krista!

Drink Cupcakes!

A friend of mine, Denys, turned 30 this past week and she had a luau! I had so much fun making these cupcakes for her!

The first is the Pina Colada Cucpakes.
It is a pineapple rum cupcake with coconut frosting.

The second cupcakes were Shirley Temple!
They were vanilla cupcakes with orange frosting and a cherry on top!
Happy Birthday Denys!

Cupcakes in a jar!

The month of June is a very busy month for birthdays in my family so I decided to send a little party to them since I couldn't be there to celebrate.
I made Andes Mint Cupcakes and layered them in 4 mason jars, sprinkled the mints on top and sent them across the country! And boy did they look good!

I also know how soon my brothers will want to eat them when they see them... so for easy access I attached a spoon to the jar so they could dig in!
I can't wait to hear how it went!
Happy Birthday Dad, Keith and Jack!

Canadian cupcakes & some chocolate strawberry kabobs!

Here are some pics of what I have been up to recently!A co-worker of mine moved to Canada,

which was a perfect excuse for some Canadian flag cupcakes!

The circles and maple leaves were made with DELICIOUS marshmallow fondant

& the cupcakes were chocolate with oreo buttercreme frosting. Yum!

I also received a call late last week to make some of my favorite cupcakes (the kupcake kabob) as a surprise birthday delivery! Yay!
They turned out beautifully & were displayed so well in this bright pink box!
I hear they were a huge hit!

Happy Birthday Bill!

Every year for my husbands birthday he requests a one of a kind cake which includes the following:

A layer of my favorite fudge brownie recipe

A layer of his moms special chocolate peanut butter frosting

And a layer of vanilla cake

Phew! If there was a cake heaven, they would serve this!

And here was the final product!
It served about 10-12 probably and since we were the only ones here for this birthday this year, (since it is two days after Christmas), it took us about a week and 1/2 to eat it!

Don't judge the candle... it was a Sunday and the only candles we had were emergency ones!

Happy Birthday B! Love you!

Cheeseburgers Anyone?

I have to admit.... these were so fun to make!
I made yellow cake for the 'buns', fudge brownies for the 'patty' and butter cream frosting for the 'cheese, mustard and ketchup'.... I'd eat these burgers any day! For the 'lettuce' I used coconut (one of my favorite foods!).
I made these for Justin's birthday and they were a major hit!
Everyone loved the cake /brownie mix and were taken back how much it resembled the real thing! Here's to the end of summer!
